Simple Pleasures

Guys I am so sick of looking at my calendar and being overwhelmed. So many days dedicated to the mundane and it’s surprisingly draining. I know that we can ALL relate to that but don’t worry, I’ve put together a short list of mid month simple pleasures to make life a little more bearable.

  1. 80’S REMIX EVERYTHING

A wonderful friend of mine introduced me to this new obsession of mine. If you love the 80’s and love pop music, you HAVE to check this out. The top songs you love with a unique twist, not to mention the graphics are HILARIOUS. This is a simple pleasure might introduce you to your new favorite song or at least give you a laugh.

If you’re interested in more, check on TronicBox on Youtube or Trend-ish’s post dedicated to these videos alone.

2. Take A Bath

Listen, some of you may not be about sitting “dirty water” but get over it. Baths are amazing and you can’t convince me otherwise. Let yourself relax! Shower before hand if you must, but letting yourself soak and relax in warm water is with a few candles lit around you is one of SIMPLEST things you can do to bring yourself some peace. Throw in a bath bomb or catch up on your favorite T.V. show and just let yourself relax. *If you follow me on IG, you might have seen the awesome skull shaped bath bombs from Kiss My Sass Design (who also did an incredible job with our Save the Dates btw) but if you’re into supporting small businesses and treatin’ yo self, check out her bath bombs.

3. A Good Song

I know this might sound stupid, but if you don’t have time for a movie or time listen to an entire soundtrack, check out this song. I can’t explain it but it truly felt like a musical in and of itself, with no need to buy a ticket.

4. Get a Good Chapstick

What? Sounds kind of stupid right? But if you’re needing a quick pick-me-up and you don’t have a lot of room in the budget, treat yourself to a nice chapstick. Seriously! Smells good, makes your lips feel good, and it’s something to fumble with while you sit at your desk.

5. Give A Gift

If you’re feeling unappreciated at home or at work, it can seriously mess with you. One of the best things you can do for yourself that’s seriously overrated is give someone else a gift. Gift-giving gives you a little boost recognizing that someone is thankful for you and you get the chance to make someone else’s day and let’s face it, as gross as it is to say, smiles are contagious.
